One of my favorite things to do is prompt Gemini with a variation of the following: generate lifeboxes of Kurt Godel and Albert Einstein and have an ASI from the future visit them on one of their famous walks at Princeton. Lately I’ve varied that by having them teach an introductory college course on AI. It’s interesting to ask them questions. I also add various different lifeboxes to the mix. Gemini does a reasonably good job with this. I also have learned some about AI this way. I wanted to say listening to you is spot on. The point about how obvious it is that we are bodies as well as minds and that that aspect is not present in the current chatbots. Also, the logical extension of that: that it could have a body is very much something that we can imagine. It seems a successful ASI would inevitably create a living cell for itself to inhabit. Then the extension of that is a cell that can grow on an world or other space habitat and become many beings. Etc. Like what happened on Earth, possibly! 🙂 Great stuff Rudy.
