(I&#039;m In NYC.)"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The big news is that I&rsquo;m a grandfather!<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.rudyrucker.com\/blog\/images\/althear.jpg\"><\/p>\n<p>Here she is dressed up to head home from the maternity ward!  Isn&rsquo;t she cute?<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.rudyrucker.com\/blog\/images\/2alleaveshospital.jpg\"><\/p>\n<p>I love her.  It&rsquo;s such a tender feeling to hold the baby.  Pure light and love.<\/p>\n<p>Women are like those Russian dolls, with always another one inside.  It&rsquo;s great to see life renewing itself.<\/p>\n<p>*******<\/p>\n<p>We&rsquo;re in Manhattan once again.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.rudyrucker.com\/blog\/images\/empireenter.jpg\"><\/p>\n<p>Brain-eating Mr. Softee trucks abound.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.rudyrucker.com\/blog\/images\/mrsoftee.jpg\"><\/p>\n<p>A taxi-motor caught fire.  It&rsquo;s great when you see the taxis and bike messengers fighting; they&rsquo;re like natural enemies, like giant squid vs. sperm whales.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.rudyrucker.com\/blog\/images\/taxifire.jpg\"><\/p>\n<p>As usual there&rsquo;s amazing dancers at the 34th St. subway station.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.rudyrucker.com\/blog\/images\/dancers34.jpg\"><\/p>\n<p>But mainly I&rsquo;m thinking about my granddaughter!<br \/><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The big news is that I&rsquo;m a grandfather!
