But walking around Manhattan a lot as well.  Today on Broadway by Union Square a guy was &ldquo;conducting&rdquo; traffic with a baton.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.rudyrucker.com\/blog\/images\/trafficconductor.jpg\"><\/p>\n<p>A great sunset tonight, dramatic stripes of red between the city canyon walls.  It&rsquo;s such a great natural artifact, Manhattan, natural in that we&rsquo;re like wasps or termites and this is a human-made nest.  And such a great tropical reef of people, as my daughter Georgia observed.  One thinks of a city as devoid of &ldquo;nature&rdquo; but it&rsquo;s in some ways so very rich&#8230;assuming that you can view people as natural.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.rudyrucker.com\/blog\/images\/sunsetcanyon.jpg\"><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Mostly we&rsquo;re busy going to visit THAT BABY.
