{"id":164,"date":"2005-10-19T08:26:42","date_gmt":"2005-10-19T16:26:42","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.rudyrucker.com\/wordpress\/?p=164"},"modified":"2020-04-10T18:49:53","modified_gmt":"2020-04-11T01:49:53","slug":"more-4d-links","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.rudyrucker.com\/blog\/2005\/10\/19\/more-4d-links\/","title":{"rendered":"More 4D Links"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.rudyrucker.com\/blog\/images\/robbin.jpg\" \/><\/p>\n<p>My artist friend <a href=\"http:\/\/tonyrobbin.net\/work.htm\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Tony Robbin<\/a> makes beautiful paintings based on 4D notions such as projections of hypercube tesselations.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.rudyrucker.com\/blog\/images\/hyperspaceinvaders.jpg\" \/><\/p>\n<p>A couple of years back, my SJSU student Wyley Dai realized a longterm dream of mine by creating a <a href=\"http:\/\/www.mathcs.sjsu.edu\/faculty\/rucker\/hypercube.htm\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">4D Space Invaders<\/a> style game for his Master&#8217;s Thesis project. Once I&#8217;d gotten students to do 4D Space Invaders, 3D Belousov-Zhabotinsky scrolls, and a surfing game based on a CA running the wave equation &#8212; it was time to retire.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.rudyrucker.com\/blog\/images\/quarktwist.jpg\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Paul Mavrides sent me a link to a <a href=\"http:\/\/www.symmetrymagazine.org\/cms\/?pid=1000198\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">psychedelic article<\/a>, in a seemingly legit physics journal called Symmetry, which shows quarks as cute twists.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>My artist friend Tony Robbin makes beautiful paintings based on 4D notions such as projections of hypercube tesselations.
