My site gets about a hundred thousand visits in a good month, while Boing gets perhaps thirty times that many, that is, three million. Most of the people reading Rudy's Blog are here because they like my work or are interested in the kinds of things I talk about...and at Boing they're there for all kinds of different reasons. So I did see a few comments on my Boing posts where people wouldn't really understand where I was coming from---they'd take what I said overly seriously---or maybe they'd want to argue, rather than playing with the ideas---or they might assume that I had no actual knowledge of the topics I talk about. It was a little stressful. But I'm glad I did it, and I'm grateful that I had the opportunity to reach so many people. Re. the comments, I'm kind of thinking about an SF story where people have telepathy and trolls are commenting on all of some poor guy's thoughts...
