Heavy.
I’m reading Frek and the Elixir this week, been struck for a couple days on “combing his brain – a sensation of running invisible fingers through his grey matter… uncollapsing his opinions.. letting his streams of thought recohere into their true, natural form.” I’ve been struggling with all that this paragraph suggests, but I have a feeling like I’m seeing the top of the iceberg, and there’s an immensity underneath what’s visible, and that the man who wrote this is living a tremendous life by virtue of being capable of crafting such a thought let alone being articulate enough to describe it simple and purely. yes regarding the car. I can do think in my car, remember I have the sports package that I would never have considered before. But then it scares me when I see fools in SUVs trying to do the same thing.

A couple months ago I fell out of my shower and broke my arm. Within a few minutes I was certain I’d broken my arm and hiked to the emergency room, where I sat for five hours in increasing agony until I could be X-rayed and fitted with a splint. What an ordeal.
Glad your heart’s OK. And the BMW sounds like a *fine* choice to me. Drive safely!
